On Route 100 in Somers, New York is a wonderful place named Muscoot Farm. This farm is owned by Westchester County and part of the Department of Parks.
There are all sorts of programs held at Muscoot Farm. Today there was a display of baskets on sale by local basket makers. There are more than 7 miles of hiking trails, all marked. Every Sunday there is a Farmer’s Market from May 25th-October 26th from 11am -3pm. There is a large Herb Garden. There are animals however this is not a petting zoo and there is no feeding the animals.
There are cows, goats, sheep
,
chickens, ducks, pigs, donkeys and horses.
There is a large picnic area and lawns to run and play. The produce is wonderful and local some from Westchester County and some from the Hudson Valley.

A hayride to the farmer’s pumpkin patch. $2.00 for the hayride and then the cost of the pumpkin.
